Looking for an in-person or virtual conference to catapult you into action with your book?
Publishing conferences abound and usually specialize in one or two major topics. Some are writers conferences to help you outline and write your book, some allow you to pitch potential literary agents who would then bring news about your book to traditional publishers, some describe tips and techniques of several book marketing strategies and tactics. Many are hybrid conferences with both in-person and online access to the sessions.
Some are for nonfiction authors only while others combine fiction and nonfiction audiences. And some cover short-form nonfiction rather than focus only on books. So be sure you carefully research the content of any conference you’re considering. Also note that some organizations that produce conferences also offer year-round webinars, online workshops and other events for authors.
Narrrative Magazine lists 54 conferences, and more than half include nonfiction topics.
The Nonfiction Authors Association has two dozen for nonfiction authors.
Shaw Guides lists 130 writers conferences and writing workshops when you search for nonfiction.

Wikipedia has a list of hundreds of conferences, but most of the links to more info lead nowhere.
