Designing a cover that attracts readers while telegraphing what to expect inside is no small feat. AND it needs to seal the deal for every book you sell! The portfolios of these designers will reveal some of the hundreds of ways that can be done. You’ll notice many nonfiction covers are all words and don’t have demanding design requirements. Therefore, the authors of those books can use a less expensive graphic designer who is not a book cover specialist like the ones listed here. This means the portfolios linked to below will, in general, have lots fewer nonfiction covers than fiction.
Pre-made templates, automation and AI have taken over the cover design world in recent years. Plus aggregators abound to show you numerous cover portfolios in one site (note Reedsy‘s 350 nonfiction cover designers and BookBuzzr‘s 81). What that all means is you have lots of really great choices!
